Christmas has arrived!

28 November - this is the day that Christmas begins! Yes, it's true. Across Europe, the Christmas markets opened their wooden shutters today. So, having one of the best Christmas markets on my doorstep, I thought it only right to toddle into town, have a mosey round and get in the festive spirit with some vin chaud. I also took the opportunity to take a few snaps to use in my home made Christmas cards and tags. Here are my favourites:

Strasbourg Cathedral

  1. Beautiful photographs, I love Christmas in Europe, everyone seems to do it with such class....

  2. Thanks! I agree, much more classy here ;) Plus all the shops do free xmas gift wrap, which saves a lot of hassle and looks really nice. But this year I am doing an almost completely handmade xmas so coming up with inventive ways to wrap things by recycling etc.

  3. Thanks! They came out well despite my old camera! :)

  4. those nutcracker soldiers are awesome! & the cathedral looks breathtaking... maybe I should visit Strasbourg one December!

  5. Definitely! It's such a beautiful city. I will be sorry to leave it in a couple of weeks :'( The streets are all decorated and the xmas market is spread around the city centre. Strasbourg has named itself "La Capitale de Noel" :)

Thank you for taking the time to comment - I really appreciate it :)
